Week 4: The big game of the week was the Onion Heads over TD Jesus 49-47. The Heads were led by A. Gates 15 points and 14 points from both Prater and Jones-Drew. On the other side of the coin, the lowest scoring game was also the closest as the Whales edged the Salmon 20-19. Luck is with you when a C. Buckhalter td brings you victory. The Crushers got 12 points from Mendenhall in a 32-26 win over the Maroons. The Thumbs were led by Keading’s 13 in a 25-19 win over the Wheateaters. Charlie coasted to a 30-17 victory over the Gatsbys, and the Colassals big lead going into Monday night held up as A. Foster’s 15 points led them to a 36-26 win over the Ducks.
I know, you are all asking what is up with the Gatsbys at 0-4. We will have a press conference soon.
In regards to the controversy over the Thumbs lineup, I ruled that the Thumbs were playing S. Jackson and not R. Williams because the last lineup I received via email had Jackson and not Williams. The commissioner cannot guess the intent of a team. I go by the information sent to me in the order that I receive it. In the end, it had no impact on the game. Nonetheless, teams are responsible for what they send me. I am just a recorder. That is why I do not tell teams they have started a player on bye or something like that. Not my job, nor is trying to guess what you mean when you send in conflicting lineups in successive emails. I go with what I get.
The RBs returned to the top with 13 tds to the WRs 5.
Moves: Gatsbys took Atlanta for Chicago. The Maroons took R. Torian for Massaqoui. The Whales got M. Lynch for S. Slaton. TD went C. Ivory for Portis and Keller for Shiancoe. The Wheaties picked up S. Holmes for K. Britt. Charlie took L. Moore for E. Royal. The Thumbs went with Arizona for KC. The Onion Heads grabbed B. Lloyd for J. Jones, and the Colassals took B. Rothlisberger for D. Brown.
The DeSales Irish lost to Waitsburg 27-14 last week. They look to rebound Friday night at home at DeSales in the homecoming game against TOR. The bbq is ready at 6, kickoff at 7.
