Play off semi finals
The Crushers had balanced scoring led by M. Ryan's 9 points to defeat the Colassals 40-19. The Wheaties got 15 from Ray Rice to turn back M. Vick's 18 as they held on for a 47-44 victory over the Onion Heads. There was not much suspense in the Crushers win as the Colassals powerful rb tandem of Turner and Foster was shutout for only the second time this season (the other time being week 2) and kept without a td for only the third time (and the first since week 5). In the WE-OH matchup, the Wheaties caught a break with the OH starting Prater who did not kick this week. Still, another Chicago D td on Monday and the game would have slipped away (much like the collapse of the Gmen, but I do not want to talk about that).
I remind the Colassals and the OH that there is a game for third place this week.
In the Hot Poop Bowl, the Gatsbys beat the Maroons 42-27 and the Salmon beat the Whales 27-21.
With a Saturday kickoff, all lineups are due prior to that. Thursday rules apply for the game on the 23rd.
From everyone here at the league offices, a Merry Christmas to all our owners, teams, and fans.

Playoffs Week 1
Week 14 (Round 1 Playoffs): The Wheat Eaters swallowed Charlie, surfboard and all. D. McFadden’s 23 points led the way in a 67-15 wipeout. The Colassals got 20 points from M. Turner and easily eliminated the defending champion Thumbs 43-16.
The Onion Heads will face the Wheaties and the Crushers will play the Colassals.
Hot Poop Bowl: The Maroons got 12 points from P. Garcon and downed the Ducks 34-27. The Salmon defeated TD Jesus 24-3.
The Gatsbys get the Maroons and the Whales the Salmon.
TD Jesus came very close to a record low score, with only the Giants D saving them with the three points. The lowest score ever is 2 points by Marc Pitre.
Moves: TD picked up Keller and Starks for Dreeson and Jackson.

week 13
WWSOFFL:
Week 13: The results were already sent. The notable performances were by AP (20), Jacobs (15), Jennings (15), Ivory (15), Brady (14), and Vick (14).
Playoff Picture: As already noted, the Onion Heads and Crushers earned first round byes. The Onion Heads have the number 1 seed. The Colassals won the Link Division by tiebreaker and they will play the Thumbs. Charlie will face the Wheat Eaters for the second week in a row. The Onion Heads will face the winner of Charlie-Wheaties and the Crushers will get the victor in the Colassals-Thumbs game.
Hot Poop Bowl: The Gatsbys and Whales have byes. TD plays the Salmon and the Maroons play the Ducks. The Gatsbys get the winner of the Maroons-Ducks and the Whales the survivor of the TD-Salmon affair.
Total Points: Most times, wins and losses and total points even out over the year (although I am sure the Salmon have an archive full of emails on this issue). For example, the Salmon tied for the worst record and had by far the lowest point total. Yet, as you will see, there are some interesting discrepancies between points and playoff positions. Here is the total points in order: Colassals 526, OH 492, Charlie 491, Ducks 454, Gatsbys 429, TD 414, Maroons 409, WE 400, Whales 395, Crushers 385, Thumbs 361, Salmon 316. The schedule maker was kind to the Crushers and the Thumbs. It is very rare that any team makes the playoffs without a total of over 400 points, but for two teams to do it, and to be the 10th and 11th in scoring is amazing. The Ducks scored 93 more points than the Thumbs but they are out and tied with the Salmon for worst record (leaving you to wonder what sins they committed). The Crushers won the Julie going away yet had the least amount of points in the Division! The Colassals earned their Link title with an impressive 526, yet they have to play this week while the Crushers with 141 less points get a bye. That is why we play the games. I am sure there is more to mine in these numbers, but I need to get these results out and get to work on some other minor items like grading papers.
RBs 20, WRs 8.
Moves: The Thumbs got Westbrook for Gore; the Colassals Cutler for V. Jackson and Nicks for Manningham; Charlie took A. Dixon for Finley and T. Gerhart for M. Bush; the Maroons went for B. Obamanu for Torian.
Enjoy the playoffs.
