WWSOFFL:
Weeks 6: Some serious high scoring this week. The Ducks led the way, getting 20 points from R. Moss and posting a 70-26 win over the Thumbs. Seventy points is a rare number in our league, and only four away from the record. The Salmon, with 20 points from M. Jones-Drew, shellacked the previously undefeated Gatsbys 60-22. Getting 15 points from M. Schaub, the Onion Heads won 54-28 over the Wheat Eaters. Two teams put up 44 points. Charlie, with 21 points from T. Brady, easily got past the Maroons 44-5, and the Crushers were led by 12 points from V. Shiacoe in a 44-23 win over the Whales. Finally, D. Williams 15 points powered the Muiracles past the Colassals 33-28.
The Link Division is struggling right now as all four teams are 2-4. Something will give as the games this week are within the division. The Peter and Julie Divisions are mirror images with records from first to fourth or 5-1, 4-2, 3-3, and 2-4.
Among the starters this weekend rbs scored 13 tds to 10 by the wrs.
Time for some draft analysis. First round busts. S. Jackson (still not tds), B. Jacobs (1 td). Others who are underperforming are M. Forte, L. Tomlinson, and B. Westbrook. Highest pick dropped, not due to injury. C. Wells, 2ndround (24th pick). Besides Wells, highest pick riding the bench is TO, 4th round. Best middle round picks: R. Rice (5th), B. Marshall, A. Bradshaw, C. Benson (8th). Top late round selections, R. Mendenhall (10th) J. Maclin (13th). What do others think?
Moves: The Thumbs picked up O. Mare, M. Austin, and V. Davis for Carpenter, Wells, and Coles. The Onion Heads grabbed O. Daniels for McFadden. The Ducks added H. Miller for Boss. The Crushers went for an old reliable, M. Stover for Vinateri.
The DeSales Irish lost to Waitsburg-Prescott 35-28. It was a very exciting game and W-P just made more big plays. This week is a bye.
