Charlie Wins! With 12 points from C. Portis, Charlie gets in the win column with a 38-26 victory over the Whales. (In the game within the game, Steve Smith, Carolina-Whale, outscored Steve Smith, New York-Charlie, 2-0.) The Wheat Eaters got 15 from M. Ryan to led the way in a 41-24 win over the Colassals. The Onion Heads wrs led the way, with A. Johnson getting 14 points and L. Fitzgerald 12 in a 46-21 win over the Maroons. In the other Peter Division Matchup, the Thumbs came from behind on Monday night to defeat the Salmon 49-35. It was a balanced attack with 12 points from A. Peterson, R. Brown, and T.J. Housmanzadeh. In the Julie, the defending champs got 14 from A. Bradshaw in a 42-19 win over the Muiracles, while another Giant, L. Tynes, led the way for the Gatsbys, also with 14 points, in a 40-21 win over the Ducks.
The Onion Heads and Thumbs tied for the high point total, the first time that has ever happened. Using bonus points as the tiebreaker, the OH get the money.
Among the starters this weekend rbs scored 18 tds to 13 by the wrs.
Moves: The Wheat Eaters picked up L. Johnson for J. Morgan; Salmon went for Maclin for Mossaquoi; the Maroons grabbed N. Burleson for J. Gage; Charlie picked Knox back up for Hester and Crabtree for Henry; and the Thumbs picked up Carpenter for Rackers.
The DeSales Irish won 35-6 over Pomeroy. That sets up the big game with Waitsburg-Prescott this Friday in Waitsburg. Winner has the inside track to the playoffs..
