Week 2 Results

Weeks 2: A high scoring week with half the teams scoring 40 or more points. The Whales-Colassals contest rivaled Sunday’s night’s game for the back and forth leads. In the end, C. Johnson’s 24 points were too much for the Colassals as the Whales won 52-51. The difference was actually a safety by the Eagles D. In the other Link contest, it was the Wheat Eaters doubling up Charlie 32-16. The Julie and Peter Divisions split their games. The Muiracles beat the Maroons 39-17. M. Colston’s 12 points and D. Brees’s 11 led the Salmon over the Ducks 40-29. The Onion Heads also went over the 50 point mark, led by A. Johnson’s 15, in defeating the defending champs 51-37. Finally, in a game that was decided late Monday night, the Gatsbys held off the Thumbs 48-44.

Five first round picks have still not scored a td. Be the first to name them all and win valuable prizes. Best pick, so far (not counting kickers) after the first four rounds? R. Brown, first pick round 5 and K. Winslow, Round 8.

Among the starters this weekend: rbs scored 15 tds to 15 by the wrs. More td passes equals higher scoring. (last week it was 16-7) TEs? 6.

Moves: Colassals McCoy for Graham; Charlie C. Henry for A. Bryant;

Maroons T. Edwards for C. Pennington; Thumbs J. Shockey for Kaufman; and Gatsbys, M. Manningham for Maroney.

The DeSales Irish had another tough first half, getting behind 20-0 again before losing to Colfax 33-14. They travel to TOR this Friday to open up league play.

The Walla Walla Sausage Fest is October 2-3 at DeSales. There is a home game at 7 on Friday night, October 2.
