WWSOFFL:
Week 1: Julie Power (clap, clap, clap, clap, clap). Julie Power (repeat). The Julies swept the Links this weekend. The Peter had the three highest scoring teams. We saw a lot of emails about D. Brees (who had 21 points, not 20) but it was A. Peterson who led the scoring this week with 22 points to power the Thumbs over the Onion Heads 45-23. Still, the Salmon won the first week money with an impressive 52 points in beating the Maroons 52-44 in the rugged Peter Division. The Muiracles downed the Wheaties 28-16. T. Jones led both the Jets and the Ducks to victories this weekend as his 15 points gave the Ducks the edge over Charlie 35-31. Twelve points each from D. McNabb and F. Gore were enough for the defending champ Crushers to beat the Colassals 26-18. And in a major opening week upset, the Gatsbys did what they almost never do, defeat the Whales 40-30.
Half of the first round picks failed to reach the endzone this weekend.
Who knew that President Obama was learning how to elucidate current events from the Dark Wing Ducks?
Among the starters this weekend, rbs scored 16 tds to 7 by the wrs. TEs? 3.
Moves: The Salmon take L. Robinson for M. Crabtree. Colassals picked up J. Carlson for L. Moore. The Cadillac is back and in the Onion Heads fold for McCoy. F. Taylor also returns as a Muiracle for S. Morris.
The DeSales Irish bounced back from an opening week loss to shut out Mac-Hi 26-0. They travel to Colfax this Friday to play the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year.
